Study in Australia
Visa Formalities
Student is granted a student visa only if he or she wish to undertake a registered course or part of a registered course on a full-time basis in order to be granted a student visa, applicants must meet specified evidentiary requirements which demonstrate their ability to meet the financial capacity, English proficiency and other relevant matters criteria. Student should submit the 157A form to the embassy and fill the Visa application form. A student is then issued a student temporary visa.

All student visa applicants must also satisfy general requirements relating to character, health, acceptable health insurance and intention to comply with visa conditions and have no outstanding debts to the Commonwealth of Australia (or have made acceptable arrangements to repay such debt).

Generally, an international student is issued with a multiple entry visa for the duration of their study course in Australia. This allows the student to travel backwards and forwards to Australia within the period for which it has been granted. Members of the student's immediate family (spouse and unmarried dependent children under 18 years of age) may accompany the student to Australia and will be considered in the same visa class as the student himself. If the student wishes to extend the stay in Australia for further study he/she will need to lodge an application for a further visa.
